My job as Head Housekeeper at Golden Bear Cottages in Big Bear Lake includes making sure our vacation rental cabins are absolutely as clean as possible for our guests. To accomplish this my bosses introduced me to the ultraviolet light inspection system from Rest Assured Corp. Constant use of this system checks to make sure the housekeepers clean deeper than the normal surface cleaning you find in most hotels. It allows the staff to detect any residue or fluids left by the previous guest or our housekeeper. They then make sure any problem is corrected before guests check into your cozy Golden Bear Cottages accommodations. At Golden Bear Cottages five acre resort of 25 private cabins, each cabin is cleaned individually. For your safety, no communal cleaning products are used.
We are pleased to announce that we have resumed full operation of our AAA approved vacation cabin rentals following a temporary closure due to the business impact of COVID-19. We utilize established programs which include deep cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants in all cabins and public spaces.
How do we keep our facility clean?We have increased the frequency of sanitizing our office and all cabins. Golden Bear Cottages five acre resort all 25 private cabins are cleaned individually. Vacuums and other cleaning items are sanitized daily before use. UPDATED MAY 2022 What we do before and when you visit? our cleaning staff cleans hands before and after they enter a vacation cabin rental.
- We disinfect kitchen brushes and sponges with detergent and warm water.
- We ask our cleaning staff to wear a mask when around others.
- We ask our cleaning team to pay particular attention to the door and drawer handles, because evidence suggests COVID-19 can be transmitted less easily from soft surfaces than hard surfaces.
- Ultraviolet light can help fight spread of coronavirus. We use it as we clean
- We are limiting exposure - "self check-in and check-out", which is now offered to all who ask.
- According to the WHO, coronaviruses may survive on surfaces anywhere between a few hours to several days, which we have separated new guest check-ins after previous guests HAVE DEPARTED.
- We have hand sanitizer. We SUGGEST that you sanitize your hands and wash your hands often.
- Ultraviolet light can help fight spread of ALL VIRUSES INCLUDING novel Covid-19 (coronavirus).
